Provide and Chainlink Collaborate to Make a New Easy Button for Enterprise Smart Contract Oracles

Provide and Chainlink to make Chainlink oracles even easier for enterprises and enable a new class of use-cases by way of the Baseline Protocol.

Provide Technologies and Chainlink announced a new collaboration today that will integrate Chainlink into the Provide API, offering enterprises a low-code framework for building with Chainlink. This will allow developers to:

  • Access Chainlink data feeds by way of the Provide API
  • Enable simple turnkey deployment of Chainlink nodes into your own infrastructure
  • Allow enterprises to consume premium Chainlink data without needing to acquire or hold cryptocurrency to interact with the network

In addition, this integration further positions Chainlink as the de facto standard for smart contract oracles within enterprise business process automation by way of the Baseline Protocol. Shuttle, the Baseline-as-a-Service offering Provide has developed, is the frontrunner when it comes to baselining existing systems of record using the public blockchain as a decentralized state machine.

Provide and Chainlink will continue to work together to incrementally add oracle API and node orchestration support, beginning with today’s initial release of price reference data as part of the Provide API. This API can be deployed anywhere as a Docker container and consumed using one of the Provide API clients. Check out the Provide Oracles API documentation for technical details.

Lastly, the collaboration will enable first-class support for Chainlink oracles within the no-code zero-knowledge workflow designer being developed by Provide partner Unibright.

Daniel Kochis, Head Chainlink Business Development states “We’re excited to accelerate the adoption of Chainlink oracles in the enterprise space by working with Provide. They not only offer enterprises an API for consuming Chainlink data and turn-key deployment of Chainlink nodes but Provide helps abstract away the use of cryptocurrency by allowing enterprises to pay with traditional payment methods while still facilitating native crypto payments to blockchain infrastructure providers.”

Kyle Thomas, Founder and CEO of Provide adds, “Chainlink has established itself as the standard oracle solution used in both enterprise and startup blockchain ecosystems. We look forward to expanding the adoption of Chainlink throughout the enterprise world using our low-code framework, which allows enterprises to get Chainlink data, run a node, and pay for services using traditional methods with less upfront development work. This delivers the full advantage of Chainlink to the enterprise so it can focus resources on building their core applications."

Chainlink is an open-source blockchain abstraction layer for building and running decentralized oracle networks that give smart contracts on any blockchain access to secure and reliable data inputs and outputs. It provides oracles to leading DeFi applications like Synthetix, Aave, and Kyber Network; numerous blockchains such as Ethereum, Polkadot, and Tezos; as well as large enterprises including Google, Oracle, and SWIFT.

Chainlink Integration with SAP via PRVD

Provide's very own Ryan Fleischmann has submitted our entry to the Chainlink Fall 2022 Hackathon. Our submission integrates Chainlink price feeds into the SAP S/4 HANA enterprise resource planning system - the #1 ERP system used by Fortune 500 businesses and other global organizations for finance, supply chain and other business processes. In so few words - we used Chainlink price feeds to update the foreign currency rates in SAP. This effort showcases the maturity level of the PRVD stack (the BRI-1 implementation of the Baseline Protocol).
